Rock is Dead?

Yeahhhh it's time for a New Challenge at That Craft Place

Theme is a nice easy one "Anything Goes"

I LOVE this theme because i get to play about with my new love of Altered Art and i don't have to worry about how i am going to do things too much. lol

I decide to have a play about with this 12"x12" MDF Laser Cut Set

So here's what i did to it ( a bit picture heavy)

Firstly i gave it all a coat of Gesso to seal the wood ready for the Texture Paste & Paints.  Next I used Texture Paste through stencils and left to dry.

Next i painted the Frame in a Bright Pink Acrylic
(Yes it was very Bright lol)

Then i dry brushed the frame with lots of other colour Acrylic Paints.
Next i applied Ink Gold in Magenta, Turquoise & Yellow Gold with my finger tips to the Raised up bits what i had created with the texture paste.

Here's a few close ups of the texture bits because they really do shine with the Inka Gold

Next i painted the MDF Back Board in bright Turquoise Acrylic Paint and dry brushed with a Light Blue & White.
Then I did some stencilling.

Then Lastly the letters were painted pink & dry brushed on the edges with white.

And here it is all finished!!

I have included a close up of the scissors because i used the Inka Golds on them because the Scissors were just to shiny silver so i wanted them toned down.
You can just see the three colours on the scissors. ( I just love how the Inka Gold  can change the look of things)

Phewwwww that was a bit picture heavy so i hope i haven't bored you too much.

All items used including the Scissors are from That Craft Place Ltd
